Messages for people at home...

There are a few things going on back in the UK this weekend that I am gutted to not be part of:

Heena - Hope you have a GREAT party! Can't wait to hear all about it and see the pics!

Jojo- Good luck for the Race for Life! Well done for all the money you have raised- so proud of you!

Mum2 (Sham's mum)- Hope you get to do something nice for your birthday - we love and miss you lots!

Nee- Hope Jai has a lovely birthday party... and that you aren't too shattered!

Selina- Have a great time on your travels... can't wait to have you guys over in Aug!

Lastly, incase you haven't already heard, Shamir's contract at PWC has been extended till Oct. This is great news and means that we can now change our flights back to November... looks like we are going to get to stay - for a bit longer anyway!

Ok winter has arrived in Sydney!

I think I might have to take down the temp comparison thing from my blog soon, cos its no longer having the desired effect of making people at home jealous!
In fairness though, it is still only jumper weather... as long as it has a hood! The rain here is mad! Its been bucketing it down all week, although it looks like blue skies today...

I hope the weather holds up, cos we have a girlie brunch on the beach planned tomorrow while some of the boys are playing golf - Sham is so excited about using the new golf clubs that my friend Fiona and her hubby gave him for his birthday!

Speaking of Shams birthday, thanks everyone for the messages/ cards you have sent this week - its made us miss you guys a bit less knowing that you haven't forgotten us!

I have managed to do lots of catching up with people at home this week - am finally using Skype properly and have a few slots left for next week... so let me know if you have time for a chat!!

bye for now!

PARTY!!!

The day I had been preparing for all week finally arrived on Saturday!
Sham hates the fuss about it being for his birthday, so we just talk about it as the party!

We had promised all our friends that we would cook Indian food for them

- AND BOY DID WE COOK!
The menu included:
- Chicken wings
- Kebabs
- Curry puffs
- Jeera chicken curry
- Potato and pea curry
- Paneer
- Biriyani
- Naan breads (the only thing we didn't make!!)
- A "cake" made of Krispy Kreme donuts!!!

In keeping with the Indian theme, I even wore a Punjabi dress! Sham dared me, but as most of you know, I don't need an excuse to get dressed up in Indian clothes!

It was a great day and Sham did very well indeed on the present front!

On his actual birthday, we decided to keep it low key and went for a yummy Thai meal in Neutral Bay with a few friends.
